Lincoln Mercury World Headquarters
Premier Auto Group Building Has Sophisticated Image
Sleek, shining metal and glass. Clean, gently flowing lines. Precise detailing. An image suggesting the high technology that accompanies advanced performance. The qualities of Ford Motor Company’s Premier Automotive Group’s North American Headquarters and Lincoln Mercury’s World Headquarters in Irvine, CA, speak of the sophistication of the brands themselves: Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Lincoln and Mercury.
Dedicated in November, 2001, the building features 37,600 sq. ft. of Alucobond® Material in a custom color of Satin Nickel III. The 4mm material was attached in a high-performance, rout and return dry system supplied by the material distributor and fabricator, Elward Systems Corp. of Lakewood, CO. Exterior panels of the aluminum composite material (ACM), two sheets of aluminum bonded to a thermoplastic core, were selected to provide the right image, as well as long-term performance.
Designed by LPA Inc., an Irvine-based architectural firm, the Premier Automotive Group building has received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Construction was by Koll Construction of Newport Beach.
The Premier Automotive Group building is located in the Irvine Spectrum campus. Approximately 800 people can be housed at the facility, which includes a dedicated product development/design wing, a conference center, vehicle display, fitness center and upscale cafe. |
