Cantilevered Metal-Clad Family Home Built For Three Generations Of Inhabitants

Bridge House, Howeler Yoon Architecture, Family Anodized Aluminum Clad Home, McLean, Virginia The Bridge House by Höweler + Yoon Architecture was completed in 2014 for a three-generation household. The three generations of grandparents, their children and their children’s children account for the three distinct volumes that make up the home’s design. The clients/the grandparents envisioned a multi-generational home where both private and shared spaces were available. The first-generation Korean-American family immigrated to the United States and built roots in McLean, Virginia. (more…)
