Architecture firm Clever Architeckten + Ingenieure created a new showroom for German glass manufacturer, RITZENHOFF AG’s, inspired by “Dutch tears” which are formed by dripping molten glass in cold water.
In addition to being an unobtrusive addition to the original headquarters, the design for the showroom is organic or, one with nature. The building follows the area’s natural topography, and all means of construction were chosen with sustainability in mind. The exterior of the project was constructed using white Alucobond aluminum composite material (ACM) and glass.
The glass serves as a natural insulation system, providing a heavy influx of sunlight throughout the say.
Winding white paths break through the lush green grass, creating a beautiful distinction between the man-made components and nature.
The use of heavy glass, a water basic and pure white exterior panels showcase transparency and innovation, demonstrating how building materials have the ability to reflect a brand’s identity.
