New Sharp Grossmont Hospital Center is High-Tech
Sharp Grossmont Hospital, La Mesa, CA opened phase one of its new Emergency and Critical Care Center in fall 2004 - "one of the most technologically advanced emergency and intensive care facilities in the nation," according to hospital officials. The new Center is high-tech in appearance, too, with its gleaming exterior cladding of Alucobond® and Alucobond® Plus materials in Champagne Metallic finish. The five-story addition utilized more than 25,000 sq. ft. of the aluminum composite materials (ACM) manufactured by the Benton, KY plant of 3A Composites USA Inc. The materials were distributed, fabricated and installed by Center Glass Co. of La Mesa, CA, which also handled the glass work at the hospital. The Alucobond materials were attached using the System CGD-2000 dry joint system by Center Glass Co. (more…)
