With over 200 residential units, boutique retail outlets and entertainment areas, the mixed-use façade is valued at over 100 million dollars.

Parq Resort And Casino Blends Seamlessly Into Vancouver Urban Landscape With Impressive Design

The Parq Vancouver Hotel and Casino is a 600 million dollar resort that was designed by IBI Group with collaborative work from Architecture49 and ACDF Architecture. The resort in its entirety is massive with two upscale hotels, a tourism complex which houses the convention and meeting centers, a rooftop spa, bars, restaurants and an over 72,000 square-foot casino.

Completed in early 2016, the Peters Ice Cream 24,000 square foot Head Office breaks away from the traditional office space typology. Accommodating 180 staff members, the structure takes full advantage of the site and serves as a direct link to the Ice Cream Factory near by. Although only a single story in construction, the commercial space appears larger as it mimics the sloping landscape. The building, designed by Gray Puksand, was required to not only blend in with the company’s existing structures, but also its lush surroundings.

Neoclassical architectural designs serve as landmarks of the past. They showcase the urban fabric of the places we inhabit. Most importantly, and even in the face of constant change, they represent the historical context of our lives. The architects at Ecker Architekten describe the city of Buchen as “a fortified medieval town in North Baden, Germany.” There you’ll find the House ‘Balkenhol’ a landmarked structure built in 1824 that served as the town’s apothecary for over a century.

Het Anker Community Center Makes A Statement With Metallic Alucobond

An exterior marked by a distinct chevron zigzag roof sprawls the tiny Dutch town of Zwolle in the Netherlands. It is the new community center, named Het Anker, attracting people from nearby districts including Westenholte and Stadshagen. Rottderdam based MoederscheimMoonen Architects submitted the winning proposal that won the architectural competition for the project. Erik Moederscheim and Ruud Moonen designed the new center that also houses an educational facility, performance hall, and spaces for recreational activities.

Te Oro Combines Ancient Polynesian Culture With Modern Alucobond

The new music and arts center, Te Oro, in Auckland, New Zealand combines ancient Polynesian and Maori culture with modern Alucobond aluminum composite material. The name, Te Oro, refers to the natural acoustics made from a nearby volcanic peak known as, Maungarei / Mount Wellington. Wind blows across the 440-foot volcanic peak creating the reverberation the building is named after. The shape of the building even resembles a giant wind instrument; symbolic for the ethnically diverse communities it serves.
