Design of San Francisco International Airport’s (SFO) new airport traffic control tower not only was focused on functional goals – including meeting the strictest seismic event standards, offering maximum sightlines and accommodating state-of-the-art electronics – it also needed to serve as an iconic airport symbol.

Beauty authority Sephora is internationally recognized for its unique retail concept, which combines an extensive array of top-of-the-line beauty and cosmetic products, sales consultant expertise and distinctive store design. While all stores utilize Sephora’s bold black-and-white color scheme, each store features unique design elements with many incorporating Sephora’s iconic “S”-shaped flame logo in store décor and signage.

Lincoln Park Centre – a 61,000-square-foot retail shopping center located at the highly trafficked intersection of North and Clybourn avenues on Chicago’s north side – has undergone the kind of major changes in just a few short years that have made it a real-estate investment company’s dream venture.

The Vancouver Aquarium’s $45-million renovation and expansion was unveiled in June 2014 in Vancouver, British Columbia’s Stanley Park as the most significant expansion in the 58-year history of Canada’s largest marine science center. Designed to evoke the flow of water and the wonder of aquatic life, the new two-story 55,000 square-foot aquarium building features a curvilinear architectural design that is clad in sophisticated color-changing aluminum composite material (ACM) mimicking fish scales in hues ranging from green to pink.
